Acknowledgement – The Late Conor Brannigan
Beragh, formerly Carnoughter, Aghyaran
Died 13th September 2025
Louise, Liam and Fiadh, Anne and Ciara, together with the extended Brannigan and Haigney families, wish to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to everyone who supported us following the heartbreaking loss of our beloved Conor. Your kindness and generosity have brought great comfort to us during this difficult time.
Thank you to all who called at the wake in Farley’s Funeral Home. To those who brought food, and to our friends who kindly made and served tea. We are deeply grateful to those who assisted with car parking at both the wake and the funeral.
A special word of thanks to the communities of Aghyaran and Castlederg, for your support to Anne and Ciara, and to the Beragh community, especially Beragh Red Knights, for the use of the Pavilion for Conor’s funeral. Your help in setting out chairs, tables and preparing the venue was so appreciated.
Heartfelt thanks to our family and friends who rallied around us throughout Conor’s illness and came together to create such a personal and meaningful wake and funeral celebration. Special thanks to Cara, Orla and Roisin for the beautiful and personal touches, including Conor’s memory tables.
Our gratitude also to Rachel in Australia, who lovingly compiled the memory photo reel, designed the service booklet, and set up an email space for friends and family to share their photos and stories of Conor
(memoriesofconorbrannigan@gmail.com) a lasting tribute that means so much to us all.
We are also very grateful to Glenn for recording the service so it could be shared with those unable to attend.
This will remain a treasured keepsake for the children in years to come.
Thank you to all those who carried Conor’s coffin with dignity and pride.
Thank you to Sara, Kevin M., Ryan and Kevin L. for the stunning music and singing. To Humanist Celebrant, Richard Lavery for the thoughtful and uplifting service he wrote and delivered and to the readers who played a part.
We are deeply touched by the tributes from the aviation community across the world, and to those who travelled to be with us. The incredible flyover tribute at the end of Conor’s funeral was a truly unforgettable symbol of the legacy he leaves behind.
Our sincere thanks to Fergal and Paddy of Farley’s Funeral Directors for their professionalism, care and support, and to Kathleen and the staff at Farley’s Bar and Restaurant for the catering.
We are forever grateful to all who cared for Conor throughout his illness — his oncology team at Belfast City Hospital, staff at SWAH, the Omagh Rapid Response Team, District Nurses, Foyle Hospice Palliative Team, and Drumragh Family Practice.
A special thanks to the staff of Omagh Palliative Care Unit for their exceptional professionalism, compassion and outstanding care in Conor’s final few weeks. You not only cared for Conor, but our whole family. To have such a service available locally is truly an immeasurable blessing.
We also wish to thank the Cancer Fund for Children for their continued support to Louise, Liam and Fiadh.
We were overwhelmed by everyone’s generosity in lieu of flowers and are proud to donate £700 each to Omagh Palliative Care and Cancer Fund for Children.
Though our hearts are heavy, we are lifted by the kindness and love shown to us. We will always remember your compassion and support with gratitude.
We will not be holding a Month’s Mind Mass, but we take great comfort knowing Conor will be remembered fondly in the hearts and prayers of so many.
With heartfelt thanks,
Louise, Liam and Fiadh, Anne and Ciara
