Acknowledgement – Month’s Mind Mass

Donald’s wife Margaret, his children Daryl, Aaron, and Kirsty would like to express our sincere gratitude for the kindness and support shown to us by our wider family, friends and neighbours of Academy Road following our recent bereavement and for their help during the wake and funeral.
Thankyou to everyone who called to the house and/or attended the funeral, supplied food, sent mass cards, sympathy cards, letters and messages of condolences, flowers or made donations in lieu of flowers and travelled long distances to be with us.
We would like to say a special thanks and express our gratitude to his consultant, Mr. Elder, Dr. Fagan and all the other dedicated doctors, nurses, porters, and extended staff of Ward 50 in the NW Cancer Centre and the Sperrin Unit who looked after Donald. Thanks also to the Marie Curie, Foyle Hospice, and District nurses, Rapid Response team, and all the carers who cared for Donald when he came home. Thankyou also to the staff of Clear Pharmacy, Rosemount.
Sincere thanks to Fr. Paul Farren, who attended to Donald in his final days, for his beautiful, touching homily and mass and his spiritual guidance. Thankyou also to Fr. Shaun Doherty, St Eugene’s Cathedral, and Fr. Noel McDermott, St. Mary’s Tamnaherin for their kindness and compassion.
Thankyou to Erin Carlin and Isobel Caldwell for the beautiful way in which they sang Donald to his rest. A heartfelt thanks to Donald’s niece, Maebh Coyle, for her beautiful air on the Harp and to the Piper Willie Coffey, who graciously led Donald’s funeral procession.
We will always remember and appreciate the professional, dignified, and sympathetic manner in which McClafferty Funeral Directors cared for Donald and carried out his funeral arrangements and would like to express our heartfelt thanks.
Thankyou to the owners of the Magnet Bar for the food, care, and attention provided after the funeral.

As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our sincere appreciation and gratitude. Mass will be offered for your intentions.
Donald’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in St. Eugene’s Cathedral, Derry, on Monday 27th January at 7.30pm. All welcome.
