Daniel (Dan) Shiels died on the 27th of December 2020, peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital.

Daniel (Dan) beloved husband of Mary, devoted father of Thomas, Sinead, Jacqueline and the late Mary and Louise. Dearest son of the late Johnny and Louie. A much loved grandfather to all his grandchildren. Loving brother of Margaret, Willie, Annie, Johnny, Jim, Louise, Marie, Joe, Bernie and the late Andy, Mary and Rosie. Deeply regretted and missed by all his wider family circle and friends.

Dan’s remains are now reposing at the McClafferty funeral home and chapel of rest, funeral leaving from there tomorrow Tuesday 29th of December at 09.00am via his late home 57 Glenowen for 10:00am requiem mass in St. Eugene’s Cathedral, interment immediately afterwards in the City Cemetery.  Sadly due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic and in accordance with the updated government guidelines the wake and funeral will be strictly private for family and close friends only.
