Deeply saddened to learn of Ricky’s passing. Thinking of Ricky’s boys whom he adored. We have not seen Ricky in a very long time - but, we do have the fondest of happy memories, many laughs, pranks too - great times!! Ricky was the manager of Ballymacarett Leisure Centre - my two children Jonathan and Sarah attended the summer scheme ‘every year’ - they loved it. Ricky was fantastic with the kids. My son had broken his wrist at the scheme one year - coming down the slide. Ricky used to go and check out the area for their weekly trips - because my son couldn’t participate in much with having had surgery and then a full cast on. Ricky would've taken him with him to suss out the venues - he loved this and him and Ricky formed a great bond. [Jonathan] said the Ricky was the best driver! “Truly wonderful memories, the staff in Ballymac were like one big family - Ricky being the head of that family, ‘a truly wonderful gentleman’ who was, ‘highly thought of’ Unfortunately we did lose touch over the years!” Thinking of Ben, Louis and family.
