The entire family circle of the late Eddie R.I.P wish to express their sincere thanks to all those who sympathised with them in their recent bereavement.
Eddie’s family wish to especially thank their extended relatives, friends, neighbours and the wider community who supported them through this difficult time.
To those who called to the house, brought food, telephoned, messaged, sent cards, gave donations, attended the funeral and watched online, we are forever grateful.
A special thanks to Fr Kevin McGuckien for his spiritual support and pastoral care, for his tribute to Eddie in his homily and the manner in which he organised and celebrated the beautiful Requiem Mass.
Thanks to the Star of the Sea Choir for the beautiful music to Deacon Terence Butcher, the church sacristan, those who prepared the grave and the Royal Court Hotel, Portrush, for the lovely meal after the funeral.
Sincere appreciation to Eddie’s fantastic carers, staff at Killowen Medical Centre, Causeway Hospital, district nurses and Bradley’s Pharmacy for their care , kindness and dedication to him.
The family would also like to express their sincere gratitude to McKiernan and Sons, Funeral Directors, in particular Michael-og and Gregory for the professional, compassionate and dedicated manner in which they carried out and guided them through all aspects of the funeral arrangements.
The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for the intentions of all.
DEVENNEY Eddie (Portstewart) 23rd February 2025. Peacefully at home Eddie beloved husband of the late Mary (née Morrison) and beloved father of Colette, Martin, Paula and Claire. Son of the late John and Catherine and dear brother of the late Bridie, Jackie, James and Harry.
N.B. Everyone welcome to call at the family home from tomorrow Tuesday at 4pm. Family time 8pm to 12 noon.
Funeral from his late residence, 11 Culdaff Road, on Thursday at 11:30am for 12 Noon Requiem Mass in St. Mary’s Star of the Sea, Portstewart. Interment afterwards in Agherton cemetery. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul.
Deeply regretted by his sorrowing son, daughters, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandchildren Meagan and Lewis and the entire family circle.
