Date of Death: Wednesday 6th December 2023

We the family of the late Brian (Bernard) Devlin wish to express our sincere thanks to all those who sympathised with us during our recent bereavement. We would like to especially thank our extended family, neighbours, friends and everyone who helped out at the wake, brought food, sent mass/sympathy cards or posted tributes on-line and to those who called at our home, attended the funeral or joined us on-line. We greatly appreciate all the kindness and support received during Brian’s illness and at this difficult time.

Sincere thanks to Fr McArdle for celebrating Requiem Mass and visiting Brian at home and hospital and to Fr Eastwood, hospital chaplain for his spiritual support and friendship during Brian’s time in hospital. Thanks also to Hannah Ferguson for the beautiful music.

Sincere thanks to McCusker Brothers for the dignified, compassionate, and respectful way in which they carried out the funeral arrangements. Thanks also to the grave diggers for preparing Brian’s resting place. We would also like to thank Loup GAC members for stewarding at the wake, Toran Cabins and Hutchinson Mills for use of their premises for parking and to Oakleaf Contracts for transport to and from our home. Thanks to The Black Sheep, Loup for use of premises to serve refreshments kindly provided by McKee Butchers, Maghera.

Special thanks to the medical and nursing teams who cared for Brian especially the amazing team in Ward 10 North, Belfast City Hospital and to the community nursing teams who came into our home.

As it is impossible to thank everyone individually we hope this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our sincere appreciation to all.

Brian’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday 3rd January 2024 @ 7.30pm in St Patrick’s Church Loup.
