Acknowledgement / Month’s Mind Mass

We, the family of the late Majella Doherty wish to express our sincere thanks to everyone who sympathised with us during our recent bereavement and for the support and love we received during her illness and during her final days. Sincere thanks to those who paid their respects, sent mass cards, attended the wake and funeral, sent flowers and those who brought food and made tea throughout. This was a great comfort to us during this incredibly difficult time.

Our sincerest thanks go to the medical staff and healthcare professionals who cared for Majella, with respect, and dignity, especially from the Foyle Hospice nurses, Marie Curie nurses, District nurses and Rapid Response team. Words cannot express how grateful we are.

A special thanks to the Derry Republican Movement for the beautiful and well deserved send off, Majella would have loved every minute of it.

We would like to extend our deepest thanks to Fr. Mc Devitt from Our Lady of Lourdes, Steelstown for the beautiful requiem mass.

We are particularly grateful to Erin and Isobel for the beautiful music that touched our hearts. The songs were a perfect tribute to Majella

Lastly, we would like to express our gratitude to W J O’Brien Funeral Directors for their professionalism and the compassionate handling of all the funeral arrangements, which was greatly appreciated during such a difficult time.

As it is impossible to thank everyone personally, please accept this acknowledgment as a token of our sincere appreciation and gratitude. Masses will be offered in recognition of your kindness.

Majella month’s mind mass will take place on Saturday 22nd February at 6.30pm at Our Lady of Lourdes, Steelstown. All welcome.
