Rev Fr. John DOHERTY
The death has taken place August 16th 2024, at Altnagelvin Hospital of Rev. Fr. John Doherty Pastor Emeritus Melmount and retired Parish Priest of Leckpatrick, 41 Melmount Road, Strabane and formerly of Pennyburn, Derry.
Beloved son of the late (Wee) Willie and Bridie Doherty, much loved brother of the late Rita.
Reposing at St Mary’s Church, Melmount on Saturday (August 17th) from 7.30p.m. with Night Prayer at 9p.m and on Sunday (August 18th) from 1.30p.m. to 9p.m. with Evening Prayer at 6p.m.
Requiem Mass on Monday (August 19th) at 12 noon. Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
Deeply regretted by Bishop Mc Keown and the Priests and people of the Derry Diocese, his housekeeper Bernadette and his sorrowing family circle. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul.
