Michael DONNELLY
We, the family of the late Michael (Mick) Donnelly, would like to extend our sincere gratitude and heartfelt appreciation to all those who sympathised with us following our recent bereavement. So many people have made such a tough time a lot easier for us and it has not gone unnoticed.
We would like to thank the Craigavon Area Hospital staff, who attended Mick in his final hours, for their extremely kind and dignified manner. As well as this, thank you to Campbell Surgery and MediCare Pharmacy Thomas St for their excellent care and assistance over the years.
We are also deeply grateful for our extended family and friends who worked tirelessly to prepare the family home for the wake, and to those who gifted food and served refreshments throughout.
Thank you to all those who travelled short and long distances to attend the wake and funeral. We are comforted by those who sent Mass cards, flowers, letters and messages of sympathy, including via social media. We also extend our appreciation to those who lined the route and accompanied Mick’s coffin on his final journey.
Many thanks to Paudge Quinn for the professional and dignified manner in which he carried out the funeral arrangements. A note of gratitude is similarly extended to those family members and friends who prepared Mick’s final resting place.
Our sincere thanks is extended to Fr Moore for his spiritual support and celebration of Requiem Mass, which was made so special thanks to the beautiful music provided by Caoimhe Loughran, Patrick Slevin and Pat Casey.
Thanks to the Backford Takeaway Donaghmore and Pete-za Ballygawley for providing food at the wake, and to the staff at Quinn’s Corner for providing a beautiful dinner after the funeral. Thank you also to Galbally Community Centre for the use of their equipment.
As it would be impossible to thank individually all those whose kindness has brought such comfort to us at this very sad time, we trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted by all with our sincere thanks.
Mick’s months mind Mass will be celebrated in St John’s the Baptist Church, Galbally on Friday 14th January at 7:30pm.
We also wish to invite those who wish to join us for refreshments after the mass in Galbally Community Centre at approx 8.30pm. Thank you in advance to Kieran O’Neill for the catering and to those assisting him.
