The family of Hugh Doolin, late of Glenowen Park, who passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his devoted family on 21st August 2021, would like to acknowledge all those who sympathised with them and expressed kindness on their recent sad bereavement.

They would like to thank everyone who called to the house, made donations, sent messages, Mass cards and Floral displays.
Thank you to the family members, friends and neighbours, who did so much to help during Hugh’s wake.
They would also like to thank all who attended the funeral in person and online.

The family would like to thank Donna, the Marie Curie nurse who helped with care the night before Hugh passed away. They would also like to thank Annette from Foyle Hospice for her guidance and advice and Alicia, the district nurse, for all her support. Thanks also go to Dr Malek, all the wonderful staff in the Sperrin Unit and the staff at Quayside Medical Practice.

Special thanks to Fr Gormley for his comforting words, prayers and beautiful Requiem Mass. Thank you to Isobel and Sinead, who provided the stunning music for the funeral service.

Sincere thanks to Bradley & McLaughlin for the highly professional and caring service they provided.

Hugh’s month mind Mass will take place at St. Mary’s Church Creggan on Tuesday 21st September at 7.30pm.

DOOLIN Hugh die don 21st August 2021, peacefully at his home, 86 Glenowen Park, surrounded by his loving family. Formerly of Benevenagh Gardens.

Beloved husband of Cathy, devoted father of Christine, Emma and Simon, devoted grandfather of Joshua, Rebecca, Noah, Luke, Grace, Ben and Amy, dear son of the late Bobby and Nellie and a dear and loving brother of Mary, Kathleen, Bobby, Jimmy and the late Christine. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by the entire family circle.

Funeral leaving his home on Monday the 23rd August at 9.20am to St. Mary’s Church, Creggan for Requiem Mass at 10am. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery.

Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul. Our Lady of Lourdes intercede for him.
