Date of Death: Monday 17th June 2024

First Anniversary 17th June 2025

Andrew was the life and soul of the party, we were not prepared for his death and miss him dearly. He was smart, funny, infuriating and kind. He lived life to the full while he could.

We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to all those who attended Andrew’s funeral service at home and abroad, called to the house and O’Kanes, sent cards, letters, kind words, warm condolence messages, prayers and mass cards, showing so many acts of kindness. We appreciate your wonderful support, it helped us get through this difficult time.

We would like to thank Father Brendan Hickland for conducting the funeral Mass and cremation service and who helped us with the arrangements and Father John Forsythe for his part in the funeral mass and his wonderful and funny eulogy , he knew Andrew too well. Also, Fr McGlynn and Jimmy McStravick at St Malachy’s Church where Andrew reposes.

To Hugh and all at O’Kanes who organised the funeral and cremation so professionally and with such great care and attention.

To the doctors, nurses and all the staff at North Parade surgery and Cowzer’s Pharmacy, who helped Andrew for many years and the doctors and medical personnel who cared for him throughout his life.

To colleagues from St Louise’s, Chest Heart and Stroke, the Public Health Agency and the Ulster Orchestra .He enjoyed working with you and knew he was lucky to find you.

To his friends from school at St Malachy’s and Queen’s and the Greek Club. He had great times with you and his life was so much better with you in it. He enjoyed your company to the full and appreciated having great friends, colleagues and neighbours.

Thank you also for your generous donations to Chest Heart and Stroke and Doctors without Frontiers.

With love and affection Mary Rose, Margaret, John, Gerry and Michael, Fiona and Jack and all our extended family especially his brothers and sisters in law, his nephews and nieces and cousins. Andrew’s first anniversary mass will be held in the Good Shepherd Church, Ormeau Road on Sunday 29th of June at 12.30
