Edmond Quinn
A message from the Quinn family – Quinn Edmond, Pomeroy formerly Donaghmore RIP 6th June 2020 Edmond’s wife Mary, son’s, daughter’s and family would like to express our sincere appreciation and thanks to the many friends and family for their kindness and support during our recent bereavement.
Thanks to everyone who sent mass cards, sympathy cards, floral tributes, text messages, emails, telephone calls and heartfelt letters of condolences, all of which were a great comfort to us.
To all our relative’s, friend’s, kind neighbour’s, local shop’s and businesses, who called to the house, brought and sent food and helped in the house, and many ways throughout the wake and funeral we thank you all sincerely. We thank all those who turned out in such large numbers to mark the route to the church to pay their respects, to those who travelled long distances, to those unfortunately we were unable to meet personally due to covid restrictions, or could not attend but whose thoughts were with us.
A special word of thanks to Dr Cormac Mc Kay (Ardmore Health Centre Pomeroy), nurse’s Helen and Sharon. To Damian in McAleer’s Medical Hall and to the Mandaville centre in CAH for all their kindness to Edmond throughout his short illness. A special thanks to Fr Moore who regularly attended Edmond, for all his support during the wake and his very special and personal requiem mass.
To Andrea Begley and Patrick for their beautiful singing and music during the funeral.
To the stewards and Pomeroy Plunketts for their most dignified guard of honour along the route from the house to the chapel.
Sincere thanks to Kate Mc Aleer and Co. funeral director for the caring, attentive and dignified manner in which she conducted the funeral arrangements, also the gravediggers who prepared Edmond’s final resting place.
As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our appreciation.
The Holy sacrifice of the mass will be offered for your intentions. Edmond’s months mind mass will be celebrated in The Church of the Assumption Pomeroy on Monday 6th July 2020 at 7:30pm.
Unfortunately, due to restrictions on numbers attending this will be limited to family and close friends. The mass will also be streamed live via https://www.mcnmedia.tv/camera/church-of-the-assumption
