man, it hurts me more than you’ll ever imagine that you’ll never read these words, there’s so much i feel that i can’t even put into words, part of me wishes things were different in how often we spoke, wishes i checked in more often, but, i would never change a thing about anything during our days together apart from the fact that they are no longer possible.maurice, you were something else, you were there for me in moments that in hindsight seem comical, but at the moment felt like the end for me, but your skill of being able to comfort people was an ability that acted like a form of therapy to so many of us.somehow, after everything you’d felt, been through, and experienced, you always managed to put others before yourself, and that is a trait that will never, ever, be better demonstrated than by you.you will continue to always be my first thought whenever i hear a harmonica… or johnny cash!none of us know for certain what comes after this life, now you do, and whatever it is, whoever was right, the impact you had while you were on this side has shaped me forever into a better man.you understood situations, me, and everyone you met on a level that is so far above normal social and emotional intelligence, you were the man who sat with me during one of the toughest moments of my life, and made everything feel alright, you were pure empathy, reassurance and optimismi can only hope to be half the man you were someday, you beautiful, amazing soul. wherever you are, whatever is on the other side, i hope it’s brought you whatever you could possibly hope for, because you deserve more than this life alone could give to you.grab a drink, i’ll get a round when i make it to the other side mate, i love you, farewellsending my deepest condolences and support to all family members, i cannot imagine the pain that the loss of this great man has caused to you all, he was so loved, by so many.
