We the family of the late Emmet Potter wish to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who offered their Condolences , Prayers and support during our recent sad bereavement.

Emmet was much loved by all who knew him treasured son of the late Gerry RIP and his loving Mother Claire, dearly loved brother of Geraldine (Mark) Gerard (Fiona) Michelle (Brendan) Conor and Barry(Pamela).

A dearly loved Uncle to his nieces and nephews, all his many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

We wish to express our sincere thanks to everyone who attended and cared for Emmet after his fatal accident, especially the couple who stopped and stayed with Emmet until the emergency services arrived at the scene, we will be eternally grateful.

Thank you to all who attended the wake and funeral, lined the route, helped with parking.

Thank you to all who helped in the kitchen, provided food and refreshments.

To Emmet’s many friends thank you sincerely for all your participation in the funeral courtege especially James and Michael on their motor bikes and all the lads that drove their work vans behind the hearse.

Thank you to Father Peter Mc Anenly P.P. for the beautiful requiem Mass, to Dervla Kelly for providing the beautiful reverent singing and music. Thank you to FMC funeral directors for the dignified and professional manner in which Emmets funeral arrangements were carried out.

Thank you to Stephen Mallon for the beautiful floral arrangements, to Aidan O’Gara for the marquee, chairs and heaters, to Kieran Conroy gravedigger for preparing Emmet’s final resting place.

Thanks to the Old Charm Inn and staff for providing the lovely food and refreshments after the funeral.

As it would be impossible to Thank everyone individually, please except this acknowledgment as a gesture of our families deepest gratitude to all who supported us and helped during the wake and funeral. May Emmet’s gentle Soul Rest in Peace. Saint Padre Pio pray for him.

Emmet’s month mind mass will be celebrated in Saint Oliver Plunkett’s Church, Creggan, Carrickmore on Tuesday 26th May at 7.30pm.

Potter, Sultin, 25th April 2026, Emmet (tragically as result of an accident)

Beloved Son of Gerry (RIP) and Claire (Beggs). Much loved Brother of Geraldine (Mark), Gerard (Fiona), Michelle (Brendan), Barry (Pamela) and Conor.

Remains reposing at his family home, 188 Camlough Rd, Sultin. Wake this evening, Tuesday 28th April 7pm to 10pm and on Wednesday 12pm to 10pm. Family and close friends only on morning of funeral.

Requiem Mass on Thursday 30th April in St. Oliver Plunkett’s Church, Creggan at 2.30pm with burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery.

Deeply regretted by his mother, brothers, sisters, sister in laws, nieces, nephews, and large family circle.

Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his Soul.
