We, the family of Valerie Ferguson, who died on the 25th December 2024, would like to express our heartfelt thanks and deep appreciation to all those who offered their kindness and support after the recent passing of our much-loved Wife, Mother, Grandmother & Sister. We will forever remember the kindness shown to us at this time.
A sincere thank you to all that sent sympathy cards and messages, to those who attended the wake and to those who catered so well for us all, we are forever grateful. Thank you to all who attended the funeral service (in person or online). Your support and prayers were a great comfort to us all.
A special word of thanks to Father McDermott of St Mary’s, Tamnaherin for his support and for the beautiful Requiem Mass and to Erin Carlin for the beautiful singing.
Also, a special thanks to Dr McCloskey and the staff of ICU Altnagelvin Hospital for their care and compassion.
We would like to thank all for their presence at such a difficult time.
To Slaughtmanus GAA for all their help during the wake and funeral service.
Sincere thanks to WJ O’Brien Funeral Directors for their care and professionalism in which they carried out all the funeral arrangements.
As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our sincere appreciation for your help, kindness and support.
Valerie’s Months Mind Mass will take place in St Mary’s, Tamnaherin on Saturday 25th January at 6.30pm.
FERGUSON (née Cooke) Valerie, 25th December 2024, beloved wife of Liam, 84 Tamnaherin Road, loving mother of Liam, Cara, Yolanda and Jason, devoted grandmother of Ava, Jake, Clara, Conor, Róise, Casey, Eireann and Callie and dear sister of Ciaran, Anthony, Danny, Pearse and the late Gerry.
Family and friends are welcome to pay their respects at W J O’Brien & Son’s Funeral Home, 110 Clooney Road, Eglinton, BT47 3PU, from 5 – 7 on Boxing Day. Her remains will then be reposing in her home. House private please. Requiem Mass will be celebrated in St Mary’s Church, Tamnaherin, on Saturday at 12 noon. Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu of flowers, if wished, to Friends of Altnagelvin (ICU) C/o Mr Peter Nicholl, MDEC Unit, Altnagelvin Hospital, Glenshane Road, Derry, BT47 6SB. Queen of the Most Holy Rosary pray for her.
