The family of the late Gerald FitzGerald RIP wish to thank most sincerely all those who sympathised with them in their recent bereavement.

We especially thank Father Brendan Smyth the Parish Priest and Father Paul Turley CSSR for celebrating the Requiem Mass as well as Kate Acton for the beautiful music.

Thanks to his many friends including those from the “bridge world” and all who sent Mass cards, sympathy cards, who called to our home, attended the funeral Mass or helped in any way, also the staff of Killyleagh Health Centre and Seamus Fitzsimons (Kieran Fitzpatrick) for his efficient handling of the funeral.

A Mass will be offered for all your intentions.

FITZGERALD, Gerald died on 30th May 2021, peacefully at his late residence.

Dearly beloved husband of Kathleen and loving father to Máire, Joey and Carmel. Dear father in law of Ciarán and cherished grandfather to Niall. Dear brother in law of Elizabeth.

Funeral from his late residence on Thursday 3rd June 2021 at 11:30 am for 12 noon Requiem Mass in Saint Mary’s Star of the Sea Church Killyleagh. Interment afterwards in Saint Mary‘s cemetery Comber Road. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul. Due to current restrictions seating in the church will be limited.

Very deeply regretted by his sorrowing wife, daughters, son-in-law, grandson and Dympna, Robert and Elizabeth.
