Mickey John FORBES
We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to our own families, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, neighbours, the extended GAA family and the wider community who supported us through MJ/Daddy’s illness, in his final days and during our recent loss.
We were overwhelmed by the kindness shown to us during MJ/Daddy’s final days, wake and funeral. For the people who brought food and served refreshments, ran errands, sent flowers, attended the wake, left mass cards and sent messages…your actions touched our hearts and gave us strength throughout those dark days.
We would especially like to thank Shauna and Hannah who cared for MJ/Daddy alongside Eilis the hospice nurse, the community care team, district nurses, Marie Curie nurses and Coagh doctors and Pharmacy. Your support will never be forgotten.
Thank you to Ardboe O’Donavan Rossa past and present who co-ordinated parking, helped with travel and most importantly paid tribute to MJ/Daddy on his last journey. MJ/Daddy would have been so proud.
Thank you to Kevin and Michael Quinn of Quinn’s Coaches for their generosity and time, who looked after the transport and shuttle bus service, to the Forbes family Middletown of AB Hire who provided the outdoor lighting and Paul Doris of PD Electrics who all helped during MJ/Daddy’s wake.
A special word of thanks to Father Tremer for all his divine support, pastoral care and comforting words throughout MJ/Daddy’s final days and for delivering such a meaningful ceremony capturing MJ/Daddy’s life.
Thank you to Margaret Anne and Patrick for their exceptional singing and music which made the funeral ceremony so heartfelt.
Thank you to Enda, Eilis, Gemma and the Tilly Lamp team for a lovely meal after the ceremony. Thank you to Gerard’s Flowers for the stunning arrangements, DJ Print for the beautiful mass booklets and to the grave diggers who prepared MJ/Daddy’s final resting place.
Thank you to Conan Lavery and everyone at Lavery’s Funeral Directors for their kind assistance plus caring and dignified manner throughout the entire funeral arrangements.
While it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please know, not one piece of support and kindness has gone unnoticed, and we are forever grateful to you all for helping us through MJ/Daddy’s illness and this difficult time.
