Kathleen FOX (nee Donaghy)

We the Family of the late Kathleen Fox (R.I.P.) would like to express our deep appreciation and sincere thanks to all our family, friends, neighbours and the wider community/all those who sympathised and supported us during our recent and very sad bereavement. Kathleen was a dearly loved wife, mother, mother-in-law and grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt and friend to many and was widely respected throughout the community. We would like to acknowledge all those who paid their respects by calling during the wake, especially those who travelled long distances on the island and to be with us from abroad, and all those who joined us in the requiem Mass, both within the chapel and online. A special word of thanks to Fr Peter McAnenly and Fr Kevin McElhennon for their spiritual support at the time and since and the comforting Requiem mass. We convey our appreciation to the sacristan Collette and all those who took part in the Liturgy, the altar servers, especially the readers and the Eucharistic Ministers, the musicians Ciara Fox and Patrick Slevin for providing the beautiful music, to Angela Rafferty for compiling the Mass booklets and Judith @ Floral Temptations for the beautiful floral arrangements. Our sincere thanks to those who helped at the house with tea and refreshments, The Charm Inn and Village Inn and anyone who brought food and pizzas. For the many messages, phone calls, cards and flowers, we are truly touched by your compassion. We wish to express our thanks to the staff at SWAH for the care and compassion they provided to Kathleen and the family in her final days. Also to Dr Deehan and all the staff at Strule Medical Practice and Cancer Unit at Altnagelvin Hospital. Our heartfelt thanks also to the Funeral Directors, Kelley McNally, Peadar Fox, Ryan McCallan,(FMC Funeral Services) and Connie Mc Nally for all your help, guidance and reassurance. Also to those who prepared Kathleen’s resting place and the Charm Inn for providing refreshments after the funeral, thanks also to the Patrician Hall for the use of the facilities. Also to the stewards who assisted with car parking in extremely cold and snowy conditions and provided bus transport throughout the wake and to Richard McFarland and Family who helped clear the road each day and make it safer for all. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude and appreciation to everyone who helped and supported us in any way in recent weeks. The Holy Sacrifice of the mass shall be offered for your intentions. Kathleen is ever loved and sadly missed, may her gentle soul Rest in Peace. The Month’s Mind Mass will take place in St Colmcille’s Church, Carrickmore on Tuesday 4th February at 7.30pm.
