Acknowledgment and Month’s Mind for the late David Garey Jnr RIP, Bessbrook
We, the family of the late David Garey Jnr, wish to thank all those who supported us by attending David’s wake and requiem Mass, especially those who travelled long distances and sent messages of condolences.
Our sincere thanks to the medical teams who cared for David and supported us as a family especially Clanrye Medical Practice, Craigavon Area Hospital Mandeville Unit, Belfast Cancer Centre, District Nursing Team and Evora Hospice Nursing team.
Many thanks to our musician Kerrie Kennedy for the beautiful music that enhanced the Mass and Fr Aidan Dunne for his celebration of Mass.
Thanks to David’s friends among the local running communities for their guard of honour.
Thank you to Carrickcruppen Club for use of facilities and Shane and Helen Feehan for the lovely food folllowing Mass.
Many thanks to the local businesses and our neighbours and friends who provided food for the wake.
Sincere thanks to Daniel Mallon Funeral Director and staff for their support and dignified, professional handling of funeral arrangements.
Finally we are forever grateful to all our friends and family, who went above and beyond during our recent bereavement, we can never thank you enough for all your support.
As it is not possible to thank everyone individually we hope this notice will be taken as a token of our sincere gratitude.

David’s Month’s Mind Mass will be held at 6pm Saturday 18th October in the Good Shepherd Church, Cloughreagh.

GAREY David Jnr, 19 Camlough Park, Bessbrook, Co Armagh, passed away peacefully at home 18th September 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Dearly beloved husband to Rosie, devoted Daddy to Shaun (Aine) and Katie (Darren), loving Granda of Kaylee-Rose, Eireann and Jack, cherished son of David Snr and the late Nancy RIP, dearest brother to Gerard (Colleen) and a much loved nephew, uncle, brother-in-law and friend.

David’s remains will repose at his late residence 19 Camlough Park, Bessbrook from 2pm to 9pm on Saturday and Sunday. Respectfully, house private outside visiting times and on the morning of the funeral.

Funeral leaving his late residence at 10:15am Monday 22nd September for 11am Requiem Mass in the Church of the Good Shepherd, Cloughreagh. Interment in Ss Peter and Paul’s Cemetery, Bessbrook.

Deeply regretted and lovingly remembered by his sorrowing family circle, neighbours and great friends.

Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if desired to Evora Hospice Newry c/o the family.

“I have fought the good fight, I have run the race to the finish” St Pio of Pietrelcina pray for him, may his gentle soul rest in peace in peace.
