Book of Condolences

Our deepest condolences. Miss D has made our time in Australia priceless. When we needed advice, she was there for us helped us, built us up and gave as a warm hug. We will never forget your cheerful, unique and always positive nature and will always carry your warm spirit in our hearts. Like you used to say „all the best girls“ your German Gappies Celina, Tina and Anna

I am so sorry to hear of Dear Geraldine's dying from us but always present at the same time. It is impossible, surely! Please accept my sincere and deep sympathies Carole, Kathryn, Lynne and Kevin. Your mother was my friend, confidante, colleague and a wonder of energy and strength wherever she was. She , Lyn and I were 'triplets' as we were born in the same year and we proclaimed our birth-bonds to anyone who would listen and everyone else as well. Through Geraldine and Lyn we had the most wonderful boarding school imaginable because imagination drove it and enlivened it as a place where women could BE. I am at a loss right now, but I would have been more lost without her in my life. For that wonderful boon, I am deeply grateful to her and you all for lending her to us. She would tell us that she is be still present in her spirit that walks amongst us, and so she is. Love to you all. Geraldine's eternity is in you. Niall Coburn ( SSC Triplet)

On behalf of the Glennie Boarding Community, we offer our prayers for DD and her family at this time. DD’s legacy will live on through the lives of Boarders who were lucky to experience her love, care and dedication. The smell of DD’s aromatherapy still lingers in our halls and her soul therapy in our hearts.

Rest in peace Mrs D. I am so happy to have known you. You were the best supervisor at the boarding school if we had a problem you were the first person we would go to and you always seemed to know how to fix the problem. You were always very bright and bubbly and helped make the boarding a bit easier and you will be deeply missed by all. Sending my condolences to your family and we will miss you Melissa Allen

Our sincere condolences to your family. Geraldine was a loving , caring beautiful person. Always such a positive & bubbly lady. A second Mum to all who needed her. Truely loved & appreciated by all the St Saviour Girls & their parents. RIP Beautiful Lady

Such sad news. Geraldine was a saviour to those of us living in remote Australia and had to send our kids away to boarding school to get an education. Geraldine was a second mother to our girls, taking responsibility of them and guiding them through the most challenging time of their youth. The fact that most of us (parents & daughters alike) remained in contact for so many years after our kids finished school is testament to the bonds formed during that time. RIP Geraldine.

So sorry to hear this sad news. Geraldine was a mother to so many of us boarders at St Saviours over many years. She then went on to be a mother to my daughters at the Glennie boarding school. I was so pleased when she travelled to Thargomindah last year and spent the day/night with us. Such a special & influential lady to many bush girls in Australia. You will be forever in our hearts. Sending love and hugs to all her family at this sad time xx

Geraldine was adored by my parents , her auntie Monica and uncle Harry who she helped many, many times over. When Geraldine and Vincent went to Canada they gave my parents their furniture. Geraldine supported my mum when she was poorly by looking after my younger brothers , checking in on the rest of us too. She was practical, kind, unbelievably positive, looked out for everyone, cannot think of a better human than Geraldine. X

Olive, which we called her for years, was an absolute gem of a person. Her vibrant spirit, unwavering kindness, and boundless energy surely left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know her. Olive's zest for life truly shone through in these memories. Late Sunday evenings we often spent perusing dating sites and the mischievous act of sneaking eggs from the cold room are such endearing glimpses into her personality. Her infectious laughter was a joy to experience, and it's no wonder she knew how to bring life to any gathering. From her unique remedies, such as new skin, lavender, recuse remedies and her love of her Irish culture, Olive brought joy and light wherever she went. We will forever Cherish the memories of our time together, and may her legacy of warmth and humour continue to inspire those who knew her. "Feck" and "All the best" will forever be reminders of Olive's personality and the love she shared. Take care as you remember and honor her remarkable life. Jodi Marshall and the St savs xxx
