Harry GOAN

Date of Death: Sunday 24th December 2023 Town: Castlederg
Date of Death: Sunday 24th December 2023

We the family of the late Harry Goan, RIP, wish to express our deep appreciation and sincere thanks to everyone who supported us following the loss of our devoted and dearly missed Father, Father-In-Law, Granda, husband, brother, brother-in-law, son-in-law and great friend to all. Words cannot adequately express our heartfelt thanks to extended family, friends, neighbours and the wider community who sympathised and helped during this difficult time.

Sincere thanks to all who attended the wake and funeral and sent cards. We would like to say a special thanks to the many professionals who cared for Harry; to his Respiratory Nurse, Joan, who looked after him so well over the past four years at home. To the staff of the Palliative Care Ward in Omagh, Carla and the Palliative Care Team who attended Harry during his last weeks at home; the Marie Curie Team, the District Nurses who looked after Harry with the greatest of care, compassion, and dignity. To all the staff of our local GP Practice and especially Dr Michaela Gallen, all the staff of Bradley’s Pharmacy for their professional service. A special thanks to the carers who attended Harry at home.

Thanks to parish priests: Fr Paul Fraser for his spiritual help over the past months, Fr John Gilmore, Fr Peter Mc Cawille for the beautiful requiem mass and for the support shown to us as a family.
Thanks to Rois Kelly-Lynch for the beautiful music and singing. A special thanks to Harry’s cousin, neighbour but mostly his best friend, Frankie Devine for always being there for Harry and being only ever a knock away and for his beautiful singing when Harry was leaving his home and again at the graveside. We know that this was very emotional for you.

Sincerest thanks to the Funeral Director, Charlie Lynch and Anne for the dignified and professional manner in which they carried out all the arrangements, we are forever indebted. Thank you to the grave diggers and to the Aghyaran GAA Centre for providing the refreshments.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we hope that this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our appreciation and gratitude.

Harry’s Month Mind Mass will be celebrated in St Patrick’s Church Castlederg on Monday 22nd of January 2024 at 7.30pm.

Always loved and sadly missed by his entire family circle.
