Acknowledgement Notice For the late Diolaín Hackett
On behalf of our family, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to all those who have supported us during this difficult time on the passing of our son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Josie and Ann for their efforts and for the compassionate support shown to us that morning.
A special thanks to Mallon Brothers Funeral Directors, for their service, professionalism and attention to detail who went above and beyond for us.
We would also like to extend our gratitude to Seany Brady’s shop Turf Lodge, Stacked Glen Road, Lena’s, Springhill Shop, Revive Hair and to our family and friends who brought food and refreshments to our house.
A heartfelt thank you for the guards of honour from St James Swifts F.C, Bunscoil an tSleibhe Dhuibh, Glenveagh School, Kids Together and Gort na Móna
We want to thank our GAA family Gort na Móna Mothers and Others who stood day and night in the kitchen keeping everyone’s cup and plates filled.
We have been overwhelmed by the many people who called to our Home, sent mass cards, Sympathy Cards, flowers and the amount of people who attended Diolaín’s funeral service and for those who travelled to be there we are forever grateful.
Thank you to Brendan from The Breakaway Band for recording Diolaín’s favourite song and allowing us to play it.
It is really impossible to thank each and every person individually but please know we are eternally grateful and blessed to have each and every one of you in our lives.
Our beautiful Diolaín’s Mass will take place in Corpus Christi Chapel at 6pm on Saturday, 17th May.

HACKETT Diolaín , died suddenly at home 4th April 2025.
Beloved son of Kiera and Christopher. A much loved brother to Clodagh, Cormac and Culann. Loving grandson, nephew, cousin and friend to many. R.I.P.
Diolaín’s remains will leave 63 Ballymuphy Road on Thursday at 9.30am for 10am Requiem Mass in Corpus Christi Church followed by burial in Milltown Cemetery. St Pio Pray for him. Deeply regretted by his loving family circle.
