I first met Steve when he joined Burnt Mill School as Head of the Technology Department. He immediately set about re-inventing the department transforming it into a joyous, thriving environment embraced by both staff and pupils alike. Steve was a softly spoken, engaging charismatic person; always willing and able to assist, listen and guide others when asked. He embodied the very best of the teaching community. I greatly enjoyed his company, loyalty and friendship. His skill and knowledge of all things technological was second to none. He had a fantastic sense of humour and delivered his magic tricks with all the skill of a professional entertainer. He is greatly missed in every sense of the word. My sincere condolences are extended to Ruth and rest of Steve’s extended family at this time of his passing.
