Family Acknowledgement and Months mind Mass

The late Sháy’s parents, Christine and Colin, sisters Caoimhé, Cliodná and Eirinn, brothers-in-law Gary and Christopher, baby niece Eimear and wider family circle wish to express our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to all those who sympathised and supported us at the sudden and untimely death of our much loved son, brother, brother-in-law and uncle.

Thank you to the Emergency Services, Dr Eddie Harney, Fr. Robert McMahon and family friend Monica McMullan for their undue care and attention. To our very kind families, neighbours and Sháy’s friends who came from near and far, brought mass and sympathy cards, food, floral tributes and donated to PIPS. Their unwavering support has helped our families in this very difficult time. Our sincere thanks to Fr. Robert McMahon and Deacon Jackie Breen who came to the house, said prayers and offered spiritual and emotional support and for celebrating Sháy’s life at the personal Requiem Mass. To Terry Cowan for the beautiful music and singing.

A massive thank you to Patsy Fitzsimons and staff of Down Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner in which they conducted Sháy’s funeral arrangements. A big thanks to Christopher Fitzsimons, Sháy’s sister Eirinn, Lee Fitzsimons, Daryl Keown, Sophie and Paddy Madine for escorting Sháy to the Church. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we hope you will accept the acknowledgement as an expression of our sincere thanks and gratitude.

Sháy’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in St Patrick’s Church, Saul on Friday 29 December at 7pm.
