HEGARTY Assunta, 26th September 2026, peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, at Foyle Hospice, late of 19 Grouse Hill Park. Beloved daughter of the late George and Sarah Hegarty (Marlborough Terrace), loving sister of George, Paul, Caroline and the late Charlie, Marie, Sr. Christopher, Jim, Danny, Fr. Kevin, Terence and Kieran, a loving aunt to all her nieces and nephews, a dear sister-in-law to Jean and Catherine. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by the wider family circle and friends.

Assunta will be reposing at her sister Caroline’s home, 43 Larkhill, Steelstown Road on Monday 28th September from 2:00pm to 10:00pm. House private today (Sunday) and on the morning of the funeral please.

Funeral leaving 43 Larkhill on Tuesday 29th September at 9:20am to St. Eugene’s Cathedral for Requiem Mass at 10:00am. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery.
