Acknowledgement

We the family of the late Nancy Hegarty wish to express our sincere and heartfelt appreciation to all who sympathised with us on our recent sad loss. Thanks to our family, friends and kind neighbours for all their help, support and prayers. We extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who called at the wake, attended the funeral, sent Mass and sympathy cards, sent flowers and messages of condolences. Thanks to local businesses, Sperrin Bakery and Delicious, who provided food and refreshments over the wake.

Thanks to St Mary’s Primary School for the use of their carpark and to the pupils of St Mary’s PS and St Colm’s High School for providing a guard of honour. Thanks also to members of the community who lined the route to the chapel. We have been overwhelmed by the support and kindness shown to us.

A special word of thanks to Fr. Madden for his unwavering support and attentiveness to mum in recent months and for celebrating such a special and meaningful Requiem Mass. We have taken so much comfort from your spiritual guidance at this difficult time. We are also grateful to Fr Martin and Fr McCaul for attending and supporting Fr Madden during the Requiem Mass. Thanks to the Sacristans, Eucharistic Ministers, readers and anyone else who participated and assisted during the service. We wish to thank Edward James Gribben for supporting Orla, Alice and Rachel. The beautiful music and singing added so much to the funeral liturgy.

We also wish to express our gratitude to the staff of Draperstown surgery, O’Kanes Pharmacy and the community nursing staff who provided care for mum. Finally, a heartfelt thank you to McCusker Bros Funeral Directors for their outstanding professionalism, dignity, and compassion. Your guidance and support throughout this difficult time is appreciated by the entire family.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we hope this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our sincere appreciation.

The Month’s Mind Mass for Nancy will be celebrated on Friday 20th June in The Holy Rosary Church, Draperstown at 7.30pm and can be viewed on the parish webcam.
