Helen McVEIGH (née Corr)

Date of Death: Saturday 17th February 2024 Town: Galbally
Date of Death: Saturday 17th February 2024

Helen’s husband Shea and the extended Corr and McVeigh family of the late Helen, wish to extend their heartful thanks to all those who sympathised with them following their recent bereavement.

To each and every one of the dedicated healthcare staff who cared so lovingly for Helen during her illness, we wish to say heartful thank you.  Special thanks must go to Campbell’s Surgery in Dungannon and to her many carers who attended her in her home who all helped provide comfort and support to Helen and to us as a family.  We would also like to express our gratitude to the paramedic team who attended Helen on the night of her passing.

We wish to express our gratitude to Fr Gerard McAleer for his kindness and spiritual support and for the comforting words during Helen’s Requiem mass.

It is also important for us to say thank you to Kate McAleer, funeral director, for her dignified, caring and professional manner at such a difficult time.  To Nicola, Amelia, Sadie McCrory, Paul Maguire and Sean Corr for providing the beautiful music and singing at the Mass and to the gravediggers who prepared Helen’s final resting place with care and consideration, we also say thank you.

Thank you to everyone who called to the family home, sent Mass cards or messages of sympathy, made tea, parked cars and brought food and flowers.  We thank KC Marquees and Galbally Community Centre for the use of their facilities and to Maria Corrigan and your team for providing refreshments after the funeral. Your kindness at such a difficult time will never be forgotten.

We wish to express a special thank you to Quinn Contracts, the wider Quinn family and all of Shea’s work colleagues.  The support given from the outset of the wake through to the funeral and afterwards was phenomenal and we will be forever grateful for your kindness.

Given that it is impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted by us all as a token of our deep and abiding appreciation.

Helen’s Month’s Mind will be celebrated on Friday 22nd March at 7.30 pm in St John’s Church Galbally.

Sacred Heart, we place all our trust in you.
