Thanks Notice
HILLIS – We the family of the late Alan Robert Hill Hillis desire to return their sincere thanks to the many kind family, friends and neighbours who sympathised with us on our recent sudden and sad bereavement. The family wish to acknowledge the help given by Mr Marty Gervin, the members of the NIAS and the PSNI for all their help rendered at the home. Special thanks to Mr Raymond Adams for his comforting words and prayers of support at the home, Church and Graveside. And to Mrs Noeleen Cairns for presiding at the organ and to Mr Graham Wilson for playing the Bagpipes at the Church and Graveside. Grateful thanks to the Homeland Diner Rathfriland for providing the refreshments and to Tanvally LOL 683 for the use of the hall. To all those who called at the home, brought gifts, sent cards and messages of sympathy and to those who are sending donations to William Bell & Co Funeral Directors 23 Kenlis Street Banbridge BT32 3LR for Chest, Heart & Stroke. Finally, to William Bell & Co for the highly professional manner in which they carried out the funeral arrangements. To all those who attended the funeral or helped in any other way. HILLIS Alan – 22nd June 2026 Alan Robert Hill passed away peacefully at his home Scarva Road Banbridge. Husband of Joanne, devoted Dad to Rachel, Sophie, Katie, Claire & Robert, dearest eldest Son of Phyllis & the late Stanley and a much-loved Brother of John, Jayne & Mark.
Funeral from the home of his mother, 73 Circular Road, Katesbridge, Banbridge BT32 5LP on Saturday 27th June at 11am for service in 1st Anaghlone Presbyterian Church at 12 noon. Committal following in the adjoining churchyard. No flowers please. Donations in lieu may be sent if desired to William Bell & Co, Funeral Directors 23, Kenlis Street Banbridge BT32 3LR for Chest, Heart & Stroke. Family, friends & neighbours will be welcome to call at the home of his Mother (address as above) on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 4pm to 9pm.
Alan will be sadly missed & lovingly remembered by his family circle & many friends.
