We, the family of Sally (Sarah) Houston, would like to extend our sincerest thanks and appreciation to all who sympathised with us during our time of grief in the loss of our dear mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, sister and mother-in-law.
We would like to convey our sincere thanks to all whom attended the wake and relayed condolences and floral tributes.
A special thank you to the Ferguson family for their extraordinary kindness.

We would like to thank Fr. Daniel McFaul, who celebrated Sally’s funeral mass, as well as Archbishop Eamon Martin and Fr. Joe Gormley, who prayed with Sally during her final hours.
We greatly thank Sally’s beloved friends in Doire Calgach Singers for their beautiful music.
To the staff at Owen Mor Care Home, Unit 5, who tirelessly cared for Sally in her final months, as well as Seven Oaks Residential Care and Dr. Stephen Lalsingh at Clarendon Medical, we thank you for all the support you gave our family and Sally throughout her illness.

Finally, we would like to give our heartfelt thanks to Kieran, Peter and the rest of the staff at McClafferty Funeral Directors for their compassion and exemplary service to our family during our time of loss.

HOUSTON (née Casey) Sarah (Sally), peacefully at Owenmor Care Home on 30th December 2023. Late of 3 Blighs Gardens. May she rest in peace.

Beloved wife of the late Patrick. Devoted mother of Elaine, Eamonn and the late Anne and Carol. A much loved mother-in-law of Paddy, Paul and Jane. Loving granny of David, Paul, Emma and Barry. Precious great-granny of Annie, Ryan, Dillon and Ava. Dearest sister of Margaret, Maureen, Gerald and the late Anne, Kathleen, Brian and Terrence. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by all of her wider family circle and friends.

Sally’s remains will be reposing at her son-in-law Paddy’s residence, 13 Ballynagard Close from 1pm this afternoon, Sunday 31st December. Funeral leaving from there on Tuesday 2nd January at 9:15am for 10am requiem mass in St. Mary’s Church, Creggan. Burial will take place immediately afterwards in the City Cemetery.

Wake house will be strictly private from 10pm until 11am.
