HUGHES Frank(Newry) January 15, 2024, (peacefully) at Dundalk Care Centre, Silverstream, Dundalk, Co. Louth, after a brief illness, formerly of Chestnut Lodge, Laragh, Co. Monaghan and Patrick Street, Newry.

Frank, pre-deceased by his parents, Alice Hughes (née Mohan) and Peter Hughes (Main Street Blackrock), sadly missed by his loving wife, Maureen Hughes (nee McCartan), his children Peter (Newry), Aidan (Ravensdale), Dermot (Warrenpoint), Caroline (Newry) and Allison (Durrow), his grandchildren Alex and Jools Hughes, Aishling and Rory Kirwan, his daughter-in-law Jane and his son in law Patrick Kirwan, and his extended family.

Reposing at McGeough’s Funeral Home, Jocelyn Street (A91XW66) from 4pm to 8pm on Tuesday. Funeral Mass on Wednesday morning at 11am in St Fursey’s Church, Haggardstown. Burial afterwards in the adjoining Cemetery.
