HUGHES Irene (Newry) February 25, 2025, (peacefully) surrounded by her loving family, formerly of Davis Street. Irene (née Curran), beloved wife of the late Kevin R.I.P. and devoted mother of Anna-Marie and Daniel.

Her remains will repose at her daughter, Anna-Marie’s residence, 24 Chapel Street, Poyntzpass on Tuesday for family only and on Wednesday from 1pm until 9pm for anyone wishing to pay their respects. Requiem Mass for Irene will take place in St. Joseph’s Church, Poyntzpass on Thursday at 11am, burial afterwards in Monkshill cemetery.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her son, daughter, son-in-law Mickey, daughter-in-law Annette, grandchildren Conor, Ruairi, Megan, Nathan, Declan, Calum, Cassie and Ava, also her brother Aidan, sisters Angela and Avril and the entire family circle. “Our Lady Queen of The Most Holy Rosary pray for her.”
