HUGHES Michael Desmond (Dessie) (Mayobridge, Co Down)

It is with great sadness that the family of Dessie Hughes, aged 68 years, announce his sudden and unexpected death on Sunday May 7th at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast.

Dearly beloved husband of Bernie and much loved father of daughters Laura (Barry), Aine (Porter), Jenny (Byrne) and son Rory. He will be sorely missed by his family, sons-in-law Gavin, Stephen, Niall along with Rory’s partner Ciara. His grandchildren were his pride and joy embodying everything that his family meant to him. Dessie will be sadly missed by his loving brothers Gerard and Tom and sisters Mary and Monica including extended family and many friends.

Dessie’s remains will leave his home at 11.15 for Funeral Mass at 12.00 noon on Thursday 11th in St. Patrick’s Church, Mayobridge, with internment immediately after in adjoining cemetery.
