Hughie MEENAGH

We, the family of the late Hughie Meenagh, beloved uncle, cousins and wider family circle, would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all those who sympathised with and supported us during our recent bereavement.
Our sincere thanks to our family, friends, neighbours and the wider community for their kindness and support. We are deeply grateful to everyone who organised and helped at the wake, including those individuals and local businesses who assisted in any way.
Thank you to all who attended the wake, sent letters, Mass cards, sympathy cards, social media messages and floral tributes. We also extend our gratitude to those who attended the Funeral Mass or joined us via webcam. Your presence, prayers and support brought us great comfort during a very difficult time.
A truly heartfelt word of thanks and appreciation goes to all the nurses, carers and healthcare staff who cared for Hughie throughout his illness. In particular, we wish to acknowledge Una Andrews and her team, and the staff of Ward 26, Altnagelvin Hospital, for the exceptional care, compassion, kindness and love they showed Hughie and our family. Words are simply not enough to express our gratitude for the comfort, dignity and support they provided during such a difficult time.
Special appreciation is extended to Fr. Peter McAnenly PP for his spiritual support and pastoral care, for his visits and prayers before Hughie’s passing and during the wake, which gave us strength and comfort. We also thank him for celebrating a beautiful Requiem Mass and for the fitting tributes paid to Hughie.
A special word of thanks to Jackie Fox and Eamonn Donnelly for the beautiful music and singing,
We offer our sincere gratitude to Peadar Fox and Ryan McCallan for the professional and dignified manner in which they conducted the funeral arrangements and tribute; to the grave diggers, John and Sean Rafferty, who carefully prepared Hughie’s final resting place, The Charm for the refreshments following the burial and to Seamus Russell for his help and support before, during and after the wake.
As it would not be possible to thank everyone individually for their support since Hughie’s passing, we trust that this acknowledgment will express our sincere appreciation and everlasting gratitude to all of you. Hughie’s life touched so many people, and his memory will be treasured forever.
