Jimmy FOX

Date of Death: Monday 1st April 2024 Town: Carrickmore
Date of Death: Monday 1st April 2024

We, the family of the late Jimmy Fox (RIP), beloved husband of Briege (RIP) and wider family circle would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all those who sympathised and supported us during our recent sudden bereavement. Our sincere thanks to family, friends and neighbours and the wider community who have helped in countless ways during this sorrowful time. Thanks to all who organised and helped at the wake, including those individuals and local businesses who brought or sent food, provided catering, co-ordinated traffic and transportation, and sat up at night. Thanks to those who attended the wake, sent letters, Mass cards, Sympathy cards, social media messages and floral tributes.

A truly heartfelt word of thanks and appreciation to all who carefully and respectfully attended Daddy at the time of his death, including Charm Inn staff, customers, friends, off duty nurses, Termon Community Responders, the Paramedic team, Dr Slane and Fr Moore.

Thanks to Daddy’s undertaker colleagues from near and far who touchingly accompanied the Funeral cortege through Carrickmore to the Chapel. Thanks to everyone who lined the funeral route to the Chapel, including the beloved Charm Inn staff, the many representatives from community organisations and businesses, and to participants in the Guard of Honour at the Chapel. To all those who attended the funeral mass or joined us via webcam on the day of Daddy’s funeral, we are truly grateful.

Special appreciation to Fr Peter McAnenly P.P. for his spiritual support and pastoral care, for his daily visits and prayers during the wake which gave us strength during this sad and difficult time. Thanks for the beautiful Requiem Mass and the fitting tribute paid to Daddy. Your words were of great comfort to our family and friends. Special thanks to Fr Bradley for concelebrating the mass, and your friendship, presence and prayers.

We would also like to thank everyone who helped organise and diligently participated in the funeral mass and symbolic tributes of Daddy’s life and legacy. Also to Eamon, Jackie & Marian for the beautiful music, singing, and flute solos. Thanks to the Sacristan Colette and alter servers.

We offer our sincere gratitude to Ryan, Paudge, Michael and Enda for the professional and dignified manner in which they conducted the funeral arrangements of their dear friend Jimmy and tribute to the grave diggers who carefully prepared Daddy’s final resting place.

Thanks to the staff and volunteers of the Patrician, and the Charm Inn staff, past and present, for the beautiful refreshments, and a sincere thank you to Daddy’s right hand man Seamus for all his help before, during and after the wake.

As it would not be possible to thank everyone individually who has been so supportive since Daddy’s passing, we trust that our acknowledgement will express our sincere appreciation and everlasting gratitude to all of you. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.

Finally to a much loved husband, father, father-in-law, granda, brother, uncle, brother-in-law and friend, we have been blessed to have had you in our lives, we thank you for the care, love, memories and the legacy you leave behind.

Jimmy’s Months Mind Mass will be celebrated on Monday 6th May at 7.30pm in St Colmcille’s Church Carrickmore. Mass can also be viewed on Church webcam.

Your life touched so many others, and will be remembered forever more

To leave the world a better place than it had been before.
