The family of the late JoeMcConnell would like to express their sincere thanks to all those sympathised and supported them in their recent bereavement.
Heartfelt thanks to everyone who called at the house. Sincere thanks to our very kind relatives, friends and neighbours who came to the house with food and helped with refreshments during the wake.
Our heartfelt thanks to Fr Slater, Fr Moore, Fr Boyle and Fr Barney McAleer for their great support and comforting words. A special thanks to Fr Slater who celebrated Joe’s requiem mass.
Thankyou to the Pomeroy Plunketts and Pomeroy Accordian Band for their Guard of Honour and the beautiful music both outside the chapel and at the graveside.
Thanks to the grave digger and thanks to Angela Morgan and her accompaniment for the beautiful singing and music.
Thanks to Seamus McNally for the refreshments after mass.
Our heartfelt thanks to Kate McAleer for the dignified and professional manner in which she carried out the funeral arrangements. Thanks to Kate for the support she gave us and her very kind words.
As it would be impossible to thank everybody individually, please accept this acknowledgment as an expression of our most heartfelt gratitude.

McCONNELL (Tullyreavy, Rock / Pomeroy) March 20, 2024 suddenly but peacefully. Joe, beloved husband of Olive, cherished father of Aisling and father-in-law to Martin. Doting grandfather to Caoimhe, Áine and Eoghan. Much loved brother of Liam, Mary, Teresa, Susan and the late Harry, Sean and Margaret. R.I.P.
Joe is reposing at home, 55 Tullyreavy Road, BT70 3JJ until removal Saturday morning for 11.00am Requiem Mass in The Church of the Assumption, Pomeroy. Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on him.
Deeply loved and missed by his sorrowing wife, daughter, son-in-law, grandchildren, brother, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, entire family circle, neighbours and friends.

There will be a bus provided for transportation to the wake house, leaving from Vinny Dynes yard tonight and Friday evening. Please avail of the bus service to avoid congestion on the road.
