Acknowledgement
The family of the late Oisín Johnston would like to express their heartfelt thanks and appreciation for the support during the time of their recent sad bereavement. The family would like to especially thank the emergency services for their help and support throughout this time, their dedication and care towards Oisín and the family was greatly appreciated and did not go unrecognised.
The family would also like to extend their gratitude to McCusker Funeral Directors for their professionalism and dignified manner, also a thanks to James McCoy who prepared the grave. We offer our sincere gratitude to Father Gates for his spiritual support and the lovely requiem mass, also Deacon Kevin and Father Fox who attended the home. We would like to thank the Gribbin Girls for the hymns during the service and Dave Guiney for his beautiful rendition of Oisín’s favourite song, A Bees Wing’.
A special thanks to St Treas GFC who organised transport to and from the wake, supplied the marquee and made and served refreshments both during the wake and after the funeral. Also those who brought food to the wake house, we are forever grateful for your kindness.
Thank you to the teachers of St Pius X who hadn’t forgotten their former student, their kind words and shared memories were greatly appreciated. Also his current and past employers who valued Oisíns work ethic and cheerfulness. We know he was loved and will be greatly missed. A special thanks to St Louis Grammar School and Creagh Concrete for their support. We will be eternally grateful
Thank you to Oisin’s friends, our dear neighbours and our families who offered support throughout this difficult time. They continue to be a great source of strength to us during these darkest of days.
We will always remember the beautiful comments left on social media or sent to us by letter in the days that followed Oisin’s passing. It was so evident that Oisin was greatly loved beyond our home. We ask that people keep both him and us in their prayers. We also ask that you keep his name on your lips, speak of him as you would have had in life, keep his memory alive.
Oisín’s month mind mass will be held at Newbridge Chapel on Friday 24th October at 7pm.

Funeral from his home 34 Waterfoot Road Magherafelt BT45 6LF on Sunday 28th September 2025 at 1.15pm for 2.00pm Requiem Mass in Church of St Trea Newbridge, interment afterwards in adjoining cemetery. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul.
Deeply regretted by his father, mother, sister, brothers, brother in law Colum, nephews, aunts, uncles and extended family circle. Family time from 10.00pm to 11.00am.
The wake for Oisín will commence on Friday 26th September at 6.30pm. Parking at St. Treas GFC.
