Kathleen’s family will observe the first anniversary of her passing in St. Patrick’s Church, Donaghmore at 9:30am on Monday March 25th.

We the family of the late Kathleen McKernan wish to express our sincere thanks and gratitude to all those who sympathised with us in our recent loss.

To all who attended Kathleen’s wake and funeral, both in person and via webcam, especially those who travelled long distances, may thanks.  We wish to extend sincere thanks to those who called to the house, sent messages, cards and flowers.  Thank you to all the kind relatives, friends, neighbours and members of the local community who brought food, provided refreshments during the wake and assisted with the funeral.

Special thanks to Fr. McAleer for celebrating Requiem Mass, to Michael Brennan for his pastoral support to Kathleen over the last few years and to Pat Casey and Pat Treanor who provided the beautiful music during Kathleen’s funeral mass.  We also wish to convey our thanks to the staff of Craigavon Area Hospital who provided the utmost care of Kathleen in recent weeks.

Furthermore, a word of thanks to Kate McAleer, Funeral Director, for the dignified and respectful way in which she carried out the funeral arrangements and to Michael Vincent for preparing Kathleen’s final resting place.

We hope that this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our sincere gratitude and appreciation.

Kathleen’s Months Mind Mass will be held Friday 28th April at 7:30pm in St. Patrick’s Church, Donaghmore.

McKernan (Carland) 27th March 2023, peacefully at Craigavon Area Hospital.

Kathleen (née Sheeran), dearly beloved wife of the late Eddie RIP and cherished mother to Maureen (Young) and Eamonn and mother-in-law to Bertella and the late Paddy RIP. Doting grandmother to John, Ryan (Siobhan), Claire (Chelsea) and the late Pat Young who gained her angel wings at the tender age of four, RIP and great-grandmother to Eimear, Aoife, Clodagh, and Cahir.

Much loved sister of the late John Sheeran (Bantry).

Kathleen is reposing at home 15 Drumconnor Road BT70 3LL until removal Thursday for 11am Requiem Mass in St. Patrick’s Church Donaghmore, interment afterwards in the adjacent cemetery.

Our Lady of Knock pray for her.

Deeply loved and missed by her sorrowing daughter, son, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, entire family circle, neighbours and friends.
