John (Spit) KEARNEY

We, the family of the late John Kearney wish to pass on our sincere thanks and gratitude to family, friends and neighbours who sympathised with us during the sad loss of a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. Thanks to the Doctors and Nurses of Downe Health Centre who cared for John over the last few years and to all who attended to him during his illness. Thank you to those who attended the house and funeral and to those who sent cards and letters, thank you for your comforting words and kindness. Thank you to Fr McCloskey for the Requiem Mass and to Sionan Mullan for the beautiful singing. A special thanks to those who donated to Pancreatic Cancer UK. Thank you to Ciaran Fitzpatrick and staff at Seamus Fitzsimons Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner in which they carried out the funeral arrangements. As it would be impossible to thank everyone please accept this acknowledgment as an expression of our deepest gratitude from all the Kearney Family.
John’s Months Mind Mass will take place on Sunday 25th August 2024 at 11.00am in St Malachy’s Church, Kilclief.
KEARNEY John (Spit) (Ardglass) RIP. Died 25th July 2024 peacefully at his late residence.
Dearly beloved husband of Eithne and loving father of Kelly Anne and James. Dear father-in-law of Gary. Cherished grandfather of Naomi, Nicole and Tiernan and step grandfather and great grandfather. Much loved brother of Dermot, Michael, Lena, Martin, Danny, Paul and the late Mary. Dear brother-in-law and uncle.
Funeral from his late residence, 14 Crew Hill Court, Ardglass on Saturday 27th July 2024 at 10.15am for 11.00am Requiem Mass in St Malachy’s Church, Kilclief. Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Our Lady of Knock pray for him.
Very deeply regretted by his entire family circle.
