Book of Condolences

Maye and David were our family’s treasured connection to our Irish roots. They visited us here on Cape Cod and I was lucky enough to travel with my mother Mae (Davids cousin) and my sister Susan to Carrickfergus, where we were given the royal treatment and toured Northern Ireland driven by Maye as David was our personal guide. Maye was a blessing to David as well as our family. I miss thinking we will not have one more visit, but you are forever in my memories, love, Greta

I just learned of Maye’s death last summer. I am the daughter of Mae Vennard Grant, daughter of Mary Patterson Vennard, sister of Nellie Knox, her husband, David’s mother. Twice Maye and David hosted me, with my niece, and later, me and my sister and mother, when we visited Northern Ireland. Maye was a delight; gracious and generous to us all. I am so grateful to have spent time with her and David. The world is a little less joyful since their passing. Blessings to all who loved them. ????????????
