Ann, Shane, Aidan and the entire family of the late Donald Liddy wish to express our heartfelt thanks for the overwhelming support and kindness shown to us throughout our recent bereavement. We would like to thank all who sent sympathy cards, Mass cards, posted online tributes and sent messages of condolence also those who attended the funeral and who travelled long distances to offer comfort and support.
We offer our sincere thanks to Randalstown Medical Centre, The District Nurses The Marie Curie Nurses and The NI Hospice Nurses for the great care and respect provided to Donald during his illness, we are forever grateful.
A special thanks to Canon John Forsythe for his spiritual guidance and beautiful funeral Mass enhanced by the lovely singing and music of Siobhan Flanagan.
Sincere thanks to Marrion’s Funeral Directors for their professionalism, compassion and respectful handling of all the funeral arrangements at this difficult time. Thanks also to Grainne Toal and her staff at St. MacNissi’s Parish Centre for providing the lovely refreshments following the funeral.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our sincere appreciation.
Donald’s Months Mind Mass will be held on Tuesday 13th May in St. MacNissi’s Church, Randalstown at 7.00pm when The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass shall be offered for the intentions of all
It is with the deepest regret that we announce the sad passing of Daniel (Donald) Liddy, on Sunday 13th April 2025 peacefully at home. Beloved husband of Ann and much-loved father of Shane(Fiona) and Aidan (Debra), son of the late James and Jean, cherished grandfather of Isla and Edie, brother of Seamus, Mary, Jean and Magdalen.
Donald’s remains will be removed from his late residence, 21 Creeve Road, Randalstown on Tuesday morning at 9.30am to St MacNissi’s Church, Randalstown for 10.00am Requiem Mass, interment immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery . The funeral may also be viewed on the parish webcam on www.mcn.live Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul.
Deeply regretted by his sorrowing wife, sons, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, brother, sisters and wider family circle.
Donald’s Wake will commence today at 6.00pm
