Family Acknowledgment

We, the family, along with devoted friend Anne, of the late Damien Gerald Logue (Dessie), wish to extend our sincere gratitude to all who expressed kindness and support following our recent sad bereavement. We offer heartfelt thanks to his many friends, neighbours and well-wishers who called at the house and brought food to the house, those who attended the funeral in person, those who watched the service online both near and far and those who provided emotional and practical support for us all at this difficult time.

A special thank you to his close friends Stevie and Sheila Campbell & family for their support to Damien during his illness. We also thank all who sent mass & sympathy cards, letters, flowers, donations to the Termonmaguirc Cancer Patients Comfort Fund and for the many phone calls & messages we received. Thank you to Damien’s friends in Top of the Town & Omagh INF.

We are most grateful to all the medical professionals for their care and compassion they showed Damien during his illness. To all the Doctors, Nurses and staff who assisted Damien whilst in Altnagelvin Hospital and in Omagh Palliative Care Unit, Martina Donaghy and her team of District Nurses who gave care and support to Damien at home, all the Doctors & staff at the Three Spires Surgery Omagh & Slevins Chemist.

We also wish to thank Fr Declan McGeehan for administering the last rights to Damien, Fr Damien Breslin & Fr Frances Bradley for visiting Damien in hospital, Fr Kevin Mullan for his phone calls, Fr Hassan for calling to the wake house, to Fr Mc Dermott for conducting the touching Requiem Mass and his Eulogy and Fr O Neill for assisting at the burial.

Much appreciation also to Cara Fox for providing the beautiful music and singing, to all those who participated in the mass. To Omagh Irish National Foresters (INF) & Loretto Grammar School pupils and teachers for the guard of honour, to those who reverently lined the route as Damien was brought on his final journey on the way to the cemetery and especially Raymond Mc Cullagh who lead the funeral cortege from Mullaslin Crossroads to the chapel, in Damien’s previously owned Tractor and Turf Cutter.

Our heartfelt thanks to John Donaghy Funeral Directors for the Professional, Dignified and Respectful manner in carrying out their duties and to the gravediggers who prepared Damien’s final resting place.

Words will never be able to express our gratitude but please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our most sincere appreciation. A Mass of Thanksgiving will be offered for your intentions.
