FAMILY ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

On behalf of our father Hubert, we, Marcella, Michael and Emmett, would like to take the opportunity to express our heartfelt appreciation to all of those who sympathised with us and supported us through the sad and recent passing of our beloved mother Mary.

We have been deeply touched by the many callers to our family home, the wake and Mum’s funeral and to those who travelled from Cork, Scotland and Wales. A special word of thanks must be made to Father Hassan for the beautiful Requiem Mass he conducted for Mum. His homily was a fitting and dignified tribute.

We also appreciate all those who assisted in the Mass, especially the soloist Sinead Taggart for her very moving music. Thank you to Jay Maguire for the compassionate and professional manner in which the funeral arrangements were carried out and to the gravediggers who prepared Mum’s resting place. Thank you to Mairead and Mark Mc Bride for the refreshments afterwards and to St Joseph’s Hall for the use of the venue.

We would also like to extend our gratitude to the doctors in the Three Spires practice, in particular Dr Eamon Mc Mullan. Thank you also to the nurses and doctors in Ward 4 North in Craigavon Hospital who cared for Mum with such compassion in her final days. A special word of appreciation is needed to all the carers from Careplus and Northwest Care, in particular Kamila and Alana, who looked after Mum so well. We would also like to thank Maura for her kindness in providing Mum with such company in the evenings.

Finally, we are especially grateful to all Mum’s friends and neighbours, Lily, Pheme and Eileen and Brian and Ann; thank you for all your years of kindness to both Mum and Dad and for being there for Mum in the past few months when her health declined.
As it is impossible to thank everyone, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our deepest gratitude.

Mum’s Month’s Mind Mass will take place in the Sacred Heart Church, Omagh on Friday, the 3rd February at 7:30pm.
