Date of Death: Monday 9th December 2024

We, the family of the late Oliver Lonergan RIP would like to express our deepest appreciation and heartfelt thanks to all those who sympathised, prayed for, and supported us through our recent sad bereavement.
We would like to extend our sincere gratitude and thanks to all who helped care for Oliver in Daisy Hill, the Mandeville Unit in Craigavon Area Hospital and the Bridgewater Suite at Belfast City Hospital, as well as the District Nursing Team, Macmillan and Marie Curie teams, Richard Garvey and staff in Meigh Pharmacy and Dr Giby and staff in Meigh Surgery.
Thank you to Fr Aidan Dunne PP for the beautiful celebration of Requiem Mass and to Dominique and James for their musical enhancement of the Mass. We are grateful to those who read, to the Sacristan, Eucharistic Ministers and those who helped in the mass in any way.
Thank you to those who sent mass or sympathy cards, or flowers, and to those who left messages online or via social media, or called to the home. Thank you to all those who brought food and a special thanks to Mary at Milano’s and Grainne of Hughes Food Hall, Camlough for their generosity.
Many thanks to our extended family, friends, colleagues and neighbours who assisted during the wake. Many thanks to Kate Quinn, Lislea Community Centre and to McEntee’s caterers for the refreshments following Mass.
Thank you to the Brain Injury Foundation and Sean of Slieveview Furniture for their services and support.
A heartfelt thanks to the principals, staff and students of Our Lady’s Grammar School, Newry and St Louise’s College, Belfast for their support and understanding during this time. Thank you also to the staff of Spirit AeroSystems for their support.
We would like to express our sincere thanks to the staff at Daniel Mallon Funeral Directors Bessbrook and staff for their professionalism and the dignified way in which arrangements were carried out.
The support we have received as a family has been immense and we will be eternally grateful to everyone who helped and supported us.
As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, we hope that this acknowledgment will be accepted as a token of our gratitude.
