Tony had a rare gift of compassion and showed consistent concern, empathy and kindness towards my son, his Canadian nephew Thomas, who adored him and dreamed of the day they could meet. That day will never happen now, but perhaps they will meet spiritually in Lourdes, where Tony spent much time conquering the demons all we fallible humans face. We are devastated, particularly for his beloved daughters and sister Cathy, with whom he had a sacred bond. Tony touched lives far and wide that few knew about and will be dearly missed around the world. He will never be forgotten.
