MacSHANNON (née Brady) Eithne, passed away peacefully, April 12, 2026 at Maryland Nursing Home. Beloved daughter of the late Jim and Josie and sister of the late Cormac. Loving and much loved mother of her children Jacqui, Ian, Denise, Niall and Jennie. Dear mother-in-law of Graham, Claire, Ivan, Kirsty and Richard and adoring grandmother of Joe, Aoife, Eve, Saoirse, Cormac, Niamh, Gráinne, Orla, Eoin, Nessa, Oscar and Pierce. Cherished companion of John D Moore. Mourned by a wide circle of family and friends including those of her late former husband John McShannon.

Eithne will be reposing at O’Kanes Funeral Home, 2 St Judes Avenue, BT7 2GZ until Wednesday April 15th at 5.00pm, when she will return to her late family home on St Johns Avenue, BT7 3HA. A celebration of Eithne’s life will be held at Good Shepherd Church, Ormeau Road, BT7 3GR on Thursday April 16th at 12noon. Followed by cremation at Roselawn Crematorium on Friday April 17th at 4.00pm. Family flowers only please. Donations if so desired to Trócaire or Age NI, c/o O’Kanes Funeral Home
