Date of Death: Thursday 9th September 2021

We, the wife and family of the late George Magee, Ardmore, would like to express our sincere heartfelt thanks to all who have sympathised with us on our recent sad bereavement.

A word of thanks to the extended family circle, friends and neighbours and those who visited the house and attended the funeral. To all who sent Mass cards, sympathy cards, flowers and made donations to Ward 26, your kindness has not gone unnoticed.

We express our deepest gratitude to the paramedics, the major trauma ward in the Royal Victoria Hospital, Ward 23 & 26 in Altnagelvin who ensured George was always treated with the upmost respect and dignity.

We thank Father Farren for praying with us on the days leading to the funeral, for delivering the most beautiful Requiem Mass, his words were kind and provided a spiritual comfort. We also thank Father McFaul who visited and prayed with George in Altnagelvin. We thank Erin Carlin and Isobel Caldwell for the beautiful and peaceful music provided.

Thank you to Stephen Neely who lead the cortege by piping so movingly.

Thank you to WJ O’Brien and Son, Eglinton, for the dignified and professional service, and all the help and guidance they delivered through the most difficult time.

Thank you to Jean McCourt for the beautiful meal after the funeral.

It is impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust that this will be accepted by all as a message of our sincere and abiding thanks and appreciation. The holy sacrifice of the mass will be offered for your intentions.

George’s months mind mass will take place on Friday the 8th of October at 7.30 pm at St Mary’s Church Ardmore.
