MAJURY Charles, January 8, 2025. Charles (Charlie) William Majury passed away at home on January 8, 2025. Charlie had recently marked his 93rd birthday.

He followed in his father’s footsteps as a solicitor, though his real interests laid in rugby (Malone RFC, Holywood RFC, Instonians), golf, cricket, tennis, the Rat Pack, crime fiction (once a regular at No Alibis), crosswords, word play (with Humphrey Lyttelton & co) and bird watching by Belfast Lough. He was predeceased by his sister, Margaret Wray (Shel), and is survived by his wife Audrey, sons John (Ailyn) and Niall (Marla), grandchildren Chris, Kerrie, Anna and Leo, and great grandchildren Abbie and Logan. Charlie’s family are so grateful for the support and care he received from his carers, district nurses, Hospital at Home and Marie Curie. In keeping with Charlie’s wishes, there will be no funeral.
