Date of Death: Wednesday 14th May 2025

We the family of the late Maragret McVeigh (Née McCourt), Glenbeg, Galbally wish to express our deep gratitude to all who sympathised and supported us at the time of her passing.

Our heartfelt thanks to the doctors and staff of Campbell Surgery, Acute Care Team, her many carers and the staff at McAleer Medical Hall for the support and care they have given to mummy during the past number of years.

We wish also to extend our sincere thanks to all our neighbours, family and friends who attended the house and helped during the wake and funeral, bringing food and providing refreshments.  To all those who travelled long distances, sent messages of condolence, cards and flowers. To the grave diggers who prepared mummy’s final resting place.

Our sincere thanks to Fr Slater, Fr Breslin and Fr McGuckin for their spiritual support.  We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Fr. Moore for celebrating the beautiful requiem mass and for providing comfort to mummy during recent years.  Special thanks to alter servers Sadie, Emily, Bébhinn and Lilyanne, you conducted your duties with grace and dignity.

To Angela Morgan and Damien Donnelly who provided the beautiful music, and to Nicola, Amelia, Sadie, Cáit and Jake who also enhanced the mass with their music.

A special word of thanks to Kate McAleer, funeral director for the dignified and respectful way in which the funeral arrangements were carried out.

To Quinns, Pomeroy for providing the refreshments after the funeral, and to Galbally Community Centre for the use of their facilities.

As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, we hope this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our sincere gratitude and appreciation.

The Months Mind Mass will be celebrated on 13th June at 7.30pm in St John’s Church, Galbally.
