We regret to inform you that the death has taken place of Rachel (Connie) Martyr née McCartney, peacefully at Altnagelvin hospital on 1st July 2023. May she rest in peace.

Beloved wife of the late Peter. Devoted mother of John, Mary, Sarah and the late Alice. Loving grandmother and great-grandmother to all of her grandchildren. A much loved sister of Jackie, Patsy, Kay and Billy. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by all of her wider family circle, friends and neighbours.

Connie’s remains will be reposing at her sister Patsy’s residence, 95 Strabane Old Road from 1:30pm this afternoon, Sunday 2nd July. Funeral leaving from there on Tuesday 4th July at 9:15am for 10am requiem mass in St. Eugene’s Cathedral. Burial will take place immediately afterwards in the City Cemetery.
