We the family of the late Caroline McGrath – Matthews wish to express our sincere thanks to all those who sympathised with us on the sudden and sad loss of our beloved mummy, daughter, partner, sister, auntie and friend.
Thank you to our extended family, our friends and our neighbours who grieved with us during the Wake and Funeral Service. We are grateful to those who sent messages of support and those who donated to the Southern Area Hospice, Newry, in lieu of flowers.
We wish to send a special thanks to Monsignor Hugh Connolly for the warm and heartfelt Funeral Mass and burial.
We would also like to thank Cathal McAnulty and McAnulty Funeral Directors for their professionalism, guidance and dignified way in which the funeral arrangements were carried out.
Shannon, Tiarna, Colleen and Kathleena would like to thank everyone for their support and kind words as we navigate a world without our precious mummy.
Mummy’s Months Mind Mass will be celebrated on Saturday 9th November at 6pm in Mary Queen of Peace Church, Warrenpoint.
Immaculate Mother watch over Caroline and grant her eternal rest.
MATTHEWS (née McGrath) Caroline (Warrenpoint) 10th October 2024, suddenly at hospital, Caroline, loving mother of Shannon, Tiarna, Colleen and Kathleena, partner of Kieran, beloved daughter of John and the late Kathleen McGrath and much-loved sister of Bernice, Marcus, Keith, Jacinta, Calvin, Raishida and the late John Paul. May she rest in peace.
Caroline’s remains will repose at her father’s home 75, Mourne Drive, Warrenpoint on Sunday from 3pm until 8pm (House private outside of these hours please) Removal on Monday at 10am arriving at St. Peter’s Church, Warrenpoint for 10.30am Requiem Mass (churchmedia.tv) followed by interment in Warrenpoint Municipal Cemetery.
Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her loving family, Pat and the Matthews Family, extended family circle and friends.
